Re: Disney releases their in-park app to iPhone and all users (android too!)

Yes, you'll have to hit the menu button and switch parks as it loads with your current location. I've been using the app since July (Verizon Wireless exclusive) and the app works great. As long as your in the park it will load the actual wait times and FP times.

What if I am inside DCA and want to know the wait times for DL? will it still work?

Cydia is the non-apple app market for iphones. You must be jailbroken to load it and use it.

I gather this iPhone app is pretty much a dead duck for us AT&T subscribers.

Basically, you're not missing anything if you aren't on Verizon.
All the bloat that other apps have. I'm on Verizon but I'll be ignoring all those "extras".

It may still say Verizon (original sponsor)
but all other networks should be able to use it since it's in the iphone store now (except residents outside of the US)

Thanks for the heads up! Just downloaded it for my android and it's just lovely. Heading to the park tomorrow so I'm looking forward to trying it out.

I got a chance to use it in DL and DCA yesterday. Again I got really lousy cell reception/data connection, but the app plugged along and did well. The wait times and FP times were correct and it was handy to be able to access all that stuff on my phone.

The Characters section seems like it would make more sense to simply list which characters are currently accessible, rather than having you click on each and then it telling you whether or not they're available at that time.

Long story short, if my phone starts getting decent data connections and battery use within the parks, I foresee using this app a lot.

The app is great, but the horrible service I get at the parks with Sprint made it absolutely useless. It drained my battery due to having to have GPS on and the constant searching for a signal.

The app works perfectly, but the connection problems make it virtually useless.

I used the app yesterday. it uses GPS, and shows you exactly where you are plus a list of the closest attractions.
the wait times were correct except the Fun Wheel said 5 mins but that was a lie, also some rides don't have wait times on the App like Goofys Coaster. and the only way to look for the Star Wars wait time was to go on the Map.
for the most part, it's right.
