    Re: One More Disney Day...Crowded.

I'm distressed.... It all seemed so grand in the morning when everyone was happy and excited but it definitely sounds like debauchery as the night went on. I know it just sounds like I am giving Disney yet another reason to make money but seriously maybe if they do it again it should be a ticketed event like the Halloween party. I'm not saying the whole day but the after hours stuff. I can't believe the posts I'm reading about people standing in line to get tickets for only a couple of hours. Of course the ticket booths stopped selling the regular tickets. could you imagine the line of complaints when people got kicked out of the park after riding only one ride, or NO rides.

but all of this still doesn't really decrease my desire to go if they do it again. But seriously I might just do the early entrance in the morning, go take a nap and then DCA until close, then get out of Dodge.

Except for some very nice peace around small world mall, it was miserable. Left at 2am and the lines to purchase new tickets were AMAZING. Never seen it that full - it put new year's eve to shame. Even the 20-somethings in my group proclaimed, "I'm too old for this $@$t!"

I'm shocked to hear that people were buying tickets.
I just figured Disney would stop selling tickets before Midnight
and if you purchased by then, you got to be in the park.
    They were only selling AP's?
People were paying over $200 just to have the two hours in the park?

    How many attractions were open?
    My biggest question:
Were you able to see them do "behind the scenes" work (what they normally do during 3rd shift)?
Sad to hear SOME people didn't have enough respect for others in park and were smoking in lines. Out of control intoxication doesn't help crowds like that either.

I'll post a few to give you some idea -those who weren't on the inside looking out - or on the outside looking in - this is what the crowds looked like at about 12:15am

at this point they had stopped allowing anyone to enter-re-enter - and yet, were still selling tickets to thousands of guests.

    Enjoy!

At first I was sad I couldn't go. Now, I'm totally fine with my full night sleep.

Everything I'm seeing from MK is the exact opposite of this. If they ever do this again, I'm flying to FL.

Im glad i didnt go. everyone i know said it was miserable, and everyone was agitated in the parks cause of the crowds.

this is a good example what happens when they decide to throw something like this with all the APers and no block out dates.

i bet 80% of those crowds were all people with AP's .

i hate to say it but if they do it again the only way i will attend is if its a special ticketed event and they limit the size of the crowds!

Good thing I didn't want to go. Originally I really wanted to visit Disneyland during the Leap Year, but since I have two classes yesterday and another class for today, I don't really have much time. I didn't want to spend my money for several hours with a heavy crowd that is larger than the Holiday season and Summer season, so no way. I'll just wait till Matterhorn reopens this Summer and I'll visit Disneyland again. I dislike large heavy crowds that is in par with New Years Eve and Day. It makes me feel miserable with lots and lots of people when visiting. The lines are too long and it gets uncomfortable.

On the other hand, I don't mind going to the park late at night from Midnight to morning. Cause nighttime at Disneyland is the best! It should have less people during those hours.

    Re: One More Disney Day...Crowded.

wow! yeah i WAS going to go around 11pm, but my boyfriend called me around 7 and said the 5 was packed. for the next couple hours i kept an eye on the traffic and it never got better! around 11pm i texted my friend and she said she was in line at space mountain for 2 hours and was headed out of the parks. One of my other friends braved the traffic around midnight, walked up to the bag check and then left! It was a madhouse! so i just slept!

these 24 hour parties sound fun! but they should totally be a ticketed event or have the SoCal APs blocked or have both parks open. I bet disney made bank with this event tho!

My group of 3 left at 3:30. Lines were about 2 hours for all e ticket rides, we did go me toads wild ride with maybe 15 min wait at 3am. Hoards of people. When left there was a weird line snaking in a huge single file u shape to one gate, I'm assuming people getting in as others left. I have to say most people were polite, under the circumstances and the screaming hoards just seemed to be having fun, looked college age. We just couldnt understand paying to go in for 2 hours and not getting to ride anything.

    We got there at noonish.

1 question, was fantastic updated with added lighting and pyro? It seemed much more effects laden last night, I've not seen it in a year though.

Wow! After reading all these reports about crazy, massive crowds I'm not so jealous anymore. The only way I'll go next leap year (if they do it) is if they make it a ticketed event or have blackouts on AP holders (like previously mentioned).

I bet the park is empty today! All the smart people had a good night's sleep, and went to the parks today.

It was crowded, but it was fun, too. I'm glad I went, but I'm also glad I got there early (2:30pm).
