    Spring time in DLR

I just read the wonderful article about the amazing gardens at DLR, and I just loved the pink background against the partners statue. Until when does this magnificent array of colors is shown? I will arrive in 7 more weeks and hope that I still be able to see those wonderful gardens.

i doubt the blossoms in the trees will last 7 more weeks, but i'm sure that whatever is in the flowerbeds and hanging baskets at that time will be lovely as well.

I'm sure it will still be lovely and springlike, but the gorgeous pink blossoms on the hub trees will be long gone. Funny, looking at my pictures, when I was there on March 19, 2010 the blossoms were full and beautiful. But last year on March 18, the blossoms were pretty much gone already and leaves had grown in. I'll be there next week and I'm HOPING the blossoms will still be there!

California is prettiest in April/May. Wild flowers blooming and the hills are all green (until about July when the hills all turn gold/gray). So no matter how DLR is, the hills around Los Angeles will be quite nice, if you venture beyond the parks. I'm sure DLR will be great too. Nice temperature in april/may as well. Right before the heat from hell of July/August/Semptember.

Last year, we got nailed by some pretty good rain and a bit of wind, and those blossoms came down in a real hurry. This year, I think they came even earlier as at least one of those trees was blooming by the first or second week of February. With heavy rain forecast for this weekend, a good chunk of those blossoms could be gone by next week. If people want to get a shot with all four trees going at once, you'd probably want to get over there by Friday if possible. By next week, I'm thinking the two trees closest to the castle might be nekked.

Yeah, when I recently read about rain in Anaheim's forecast, I figured my lovely blossoms will disappear before I make it down to DL. Just my luck!
