Question How Does Disney Deal With Birds?

    Hey Everyone,

I've been going through the park lately, and it's come to my attention that I have never seen any ducks or birds inside of any attraction.
Today while in line for It's A Small World, there were some ducks sitting in the water, getting close to the opening, then they would fly back a little and do the same again.
What is Disney doing here? A fan that runs when there are no boats present? High-frequency sound?

    Beat me to it.
My adventures in Wonderland began when I followed the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole. All of the sudden--I fell! Down... down... down...

I saw a mother duck and ducklings swimming through the Rivers of America right before Fantasmic. When the show started, they scattered and found another place to settle. I don't think Disney does anything to dissuade the ducks from staying put, I just think that the loud noises and bright lights coming from attractions frighten them.

Actually, it is a lower frequency sound. It plays in a loop at all times the attraction is open and can be heard with the naked ear.

It just keeps playing, and playing, and playing.

In actuality, I am not sure what their wildlife management techniques are. You would think that there would be more things like pigeons trying to exploit the free meals that a place like Disneyland provides. I know they keep the cats fed to keep down the critter population, but aside from that, no idea.

Ironically, there are videos of the Pilots honking the horn like life depends on it, and the ducks just sit there.

Assuming the MR's have air brakes and the on-board air they have, they should just rig up a nozzle to squirt a blast of air at them.

As far as duck population, certain birds pick off the little ones before they get too big. Circle of life.

What is truly amazing, is watching the crows at dusk. They fly around and jostle for position on the higher branches. Must be some kind of seniority nesting.

This has been a Filmways presentation dahling.

That is hysterical!! I've never seen that before!
"In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations, the new needs friends." - Anton Ego
