I was at DLR last week and noticed that their seems to be problems with the projection system during the 9:15 showing. On Tuesday night we got fast passes for the show and the show began right on time. The fountains were going and everything seemed to be good until I noticed Tinkerbell and the quote were missing. The show kept going with no projections on the water screens all the way up until Under the sea was to begin when all of a sudden the entire show came to a screeching halt. The announcement came over the speaker that the show was being delayed. The interesting part was that some of the show effects in Paradise Park kept going such as the bubbles. When they resolved whatever issue with the projection system the show started back up mid show as if nothing had happened much to the dismay of everyone in attendance.
When we went back to see the show on Thursday as part of our World of Color dining package at Ariel's Grotto I noticed technicians heading out to the center projection system in their canoe. The announcement came on that the show was being delayed. Fifteen minutes later another delay announcement. Almost 40 minutes after the hour they finally cancelled the show to many boos.
The interesting thing is that in both cases the 8:00 show seemed to go off with no problems whatsoever. Anybody know anything about this being a known problem or a common occurrence? Is WOC scheduled for refurbishment before June 15?
In any case, refurbishment is needed if they don't want to upset thousands of guests this summer when the "New" DCA opens.
