Question Anyone but me want Big Thunder Mountain to get repainted Next?

I know it wont be as dramatic of a change as the Matterhorn but I'd still love to see Big Thunder get a repaint around most of the main Mountain (maybe some new vegetation added too).

Would Anyone but me think its worth the ride going down next January - Summer to get the ride looking brand new?

I'm happy that Disney is bringing Disney land up to the glory I remember growing up. Everything always looked so new and perfect. Sadly to me WDW gets allot more attention and the original some times gets left in the back of the closet.

Whats even sadder is that Disneyland looks ten times better than disney world on the up keep. Riddle me that?

They should scrap TM and replace it with a smaller version of the 7 dwarf mine train.

that ride looks like a lot of fun or just replace it with expedition Everest style train, it goes backwards.

I personally don't find the need of BTMRR being repainted. The money should be saved for other problems, upgrades, projects, etc.

I don't think the mountain needs repainting because it's not as old as it's big brother The Matterhorn. I do think it needs spruced up and some parts repainted/dusted off, the water mill in the standby line fixed, and of course the rocks falling in the final lift. I know it's suposed to be dusty and dirty because it's the old west, but the Rainbow Caverns need hosed out and cleaned up. Do they every clean the colored water effect so it doesn't look so fake?

I think they shouldn't work on BTMM until they've started to work on a Frontierland expansion. After that, it could definitely use some sprucing up.

I would love for the rainbow caverns getting some love as well as the earthquake part. Both of those areas are in need of an update or a refresh. I think the mountain would benefit from a reprint but not near as much as the Matterhorn. If they do close down the ride, they also need to work on the loading station to allow more room for handicap loading. I would also like BTMRR to get its own Indiana jones style queue. Add a dynamite plunger that sets off an explosion in one of the caverns, add a few rattlesnakes and other wild life near the queue, add a hand water pump (something similar to what they have on pirate island), ect.

Not yet, as there are more pressing issues to address.

Much like the Toon Town and Autpia thread... it boggles my mind how people seem to always advocate the ripping out of some of the more popular attractions, yet lament when the unpopular ones (ie, CBJ or PM) get torn out.

^^I agree! Toon Town is beautiful and it serves it's purpose! Same with autopia, dumbo, and the rockets. Just because you are not in the target demographic, does not mean it should be replaced with something YOU would like better. And besides toon town is under the fireworks fallout area which means anything built back there would have to close before the fireworks.

I would much rather have them use the money and dump it into restoring/improving Indiana Jones or Space Mountain.

sure, why not? It hasn't received much attention lately and could definitely use a good refurb.
