    Live "Disney/Pixar Brave" Stage Show at El Capitan Theatre

    I didn't expect this at all!​:o Thoughts?

    Male Vocalists for Live Stage Show at El Capitan Theatre
    For: Disneyland Resort

    Location: Wixom Rehearsal Hall
    Looking For: Singers

    Time zone: Pacific Time (US & Canada)
    Seeking strong solo vocalists who move well for a Live Stage Show at the El Capitan Theatre for Disney•Pixar’s "BRAVE".
    Callbacks will be held same day at 3:00 PM. Rehearsals begin June 4. Performances run June 22 - August 12.
    All performers employed for this engagement are covered under the terms and conditions of a collective bargaining agreement with the American Guild of Variety Artists. AGVA members, please bring current membership card.
    Requirements:

    • Prepare BEST 16 BARS of an UP-TEMPO song
    • Bring sheet music in your key, accompanist will be provided
    • A movement combination will be taught
    • Bring dance attire and shoes
    • Must be at least 18 years of age to audition
    • Bring a picture and resume

    Notice the audition call is for El Capitan, not for Disneyland. It'll probably just be a Brave movie preshow for the duration of Brave's run at El Capitan, nothing epic.

    Interesting. They did adapt Finding Nemo into musical form, I wonder if they are considering doing the same for Brave at the theme parks at some time. I would assume that they first show when the reopen the Fantasyland Theater will be just a short term one and then they will launch a bigger show designed for WDW/DL at the same time. There are rumors for a Tangled show, but maybe they are playing with the idea of a more original musical show based on Brave.



    Here is Merida at WDW which is a clue as to what we should have at DL as well.

    True, but wouldn't they be more specific and bill it as a pre-show type thing? I wouldn't exactly categorize a pre-show shindig as a "live stage show". But then again, I could see this as being similar to what World of Color did when it had originally opened.

    Here I was, hoping they would solve the Flying Carpet issues by resting Aladdin for a bit at the Hyperion... rats.
