Re: Besides the D land Resort, favorite places to visit in S. California

I've been to a few county fairs across the country and I'm actually quite proud of our OC fair =) There is actually a good amount of home-town fair feel left to it like the really nice clean animal barns / petting zoo and food-crop gardens. There's the veggie growing competitions and pie and cake baking competitions and sewing and quilting ect. But then of course you have the hip so cal stuff too like the ice sculpture museum, art exhibits and pottery and glass blowing. And yes the fried everything is popular but there are actually more healthy choices there than most fairs - chicken fajitas for example are so yummy and low carb!

Besides the D land Resort, favorite places to visit in S. California

I would hope that instead of spending a whole week in Anaheim,
that some adventurous visitors would maybe spend "just " 3 or 4 nights in Anaheim
and 2 or 3 nights in San Diego , Los Angeles , or Las Vegas .

Again, those who admire the artificial rocks in Carsland might be impressed by the real thing in Red Rock to the north of Las Vegas
or Valley of Fire to the east.

So does anyone have anything new to add to this list?

For those who are a little off (like me), take a visit to the various Forest Lawns to see the final resting place of the biggies of Tinseltown. And don't forget Hollywood Forever cemetery as well, lots of old stars there.

I'm a zoo guy. Love the zoo. Also, the Reagan library happens to be showing a Disney exhibit right now. It's a good time to check that out.
