That would be amazing. Make sure you take time to just sit there and think about the things that went on in that room. Soak it in...

Well? How was the breakfast? Did you enjoy any grilled cheese or Tom & Jerrys?

Charlie and I just returned from this experience. We will both type a full report later on tonight. I am having to recover from sleeping on concrete in DCA from the Grand Californian fire this morning. Overall, the apartment was a great experience. Mr. Dominguez was a wonderful host!

Sadly, my opinion of Martha at event services remains the same as she once again sandbags us! $9.500.00 for breakfast (for the group) only to be told "no photographs" 10 seconds prior to entering the apartment! Way to go Disney! We appreciate the full disclosure. Once you folks retire from Disney, there are careers to be had in used car sales!!!

Details to follow (with no apartment photos)....

No kidding! I followed the rule, however, I was not happy about it. If they would have told us about this at the time of bidding, I am sure it would not have gone for this amount. It would have been nice for them to tell us about the "rule" somtime during five months since the experience was purchased.

I find it funny that they have an online virtual tour of the apartment, countless photos and a recreation of it in a window display on Main Street U.S.A. They even posted a photo of the apartment and lamp on disneygallery.com to SELL THE EXPERIENCE yet photos are prohibited during our visit. Again, it is the double standard that always confuses me...

I am writing a trip report now and hope to post it tonight.

I was told the same thing when I toured the apartment, as were my leads on the times they were inside. I think it is SOP for guests. However, you are right to be upset that this was not made clear to you beforehand. There would be no way for you to know that pictures would not be permitted.

That is weird that they didn't allow photographs. Although I'm sure the experience was great, part of the appeal would have been being able to take pictures and have photographic proof/mementos.

When I had the good fortune of being able to tour the apartment last year, pictures were permitted, but I didn't have my camera with me, so I didn't get any.

Disneynut, I'm really surprised that they would not let you take pictures in the apt with Ron, and the rest of the apt. Anyone who would be bidding on this experience, would certainly want to take pictures! And for Martha to tell you "No pictures" as she is about to open the door for you is really insulting. As already stated, THAT should have been printed in the auction booklette, AND been announced by the Auctioneer, prior to taking any bids!

I agree... That's completely unacceptable. Proper information should have been given prior to the bidding. I could understand if this was a free sweepstakes drawing, but you paid a hefty price for this and now you have only your memory for souvineer. I would certainly write a letter to Disney about this to gripe about it. If nothing else to tell them how untrustworthy, unprofessional, and disappointing this is for you. I would also tell them that they've lost a special events customer from now on, as I personally wouldn't bid or participate in any other special ticket events. Although they wont let you back up in the apartment to take photos, you might get something - maybe even a partial refund or at least a voucher of some sort?

It's worth a try. Hopefully the rest of the experience was fantastic. I look forward to the trip report!
