    Question Black-Out Tickets On NYE...

Does anyone know if AP's will be able to purchase black-out tickets on NYE??? I'm not so interested in going to Disneyland (cuz the crowds there will be out of control), but just DCA.

    Thanks,
    Patrick

Seeing as DCA serves alcohol and DL does not, you should plan on going to DCA to blackout. Enjoy!

ok, but what about the people such as my self who like DCa better? I think you need to see both sides since there is a lot of us who would rather go to DCA

I think Giant Panda only made that comment to explain that only DCA serves alcohol, not like he was insulting DCA...

Blockout tickets will remain on sale so long as the park is selling one day tickets to guests.

Once the park gets near capacity, the first step is to restrict ticket sales. The Blockout tickets are part of the first group that they won't sale.

So if you want a Blockout ticket, get to the park EARLY.

Also making fun of the use of the term "blackout" instead of "blockout."

    Re: Black-Out Tickets On NYE...

I'm not an AP, so this is a serious question, what is the difference between a Black-Out/Block-Out Ticket and just buying an admission? Is it just price? Are these tickets available to AP's for all Black-out dates? And finally, what is the discount? Just curious because I'm thinking getting an AP this year, however not the top one so I know there are black-out dates.

    Thanks,

    1. "Block-out" is the less ambiguous term. It's used on the official Disney web site, so I figure that's the official term.
    2. $30 admission for an AP on a block-out date. Versus, what, 60-something (?) for a parkhopper?
    3. Available every day, subject to possible capacity issues.

    Re: Black-Out Tickets On NYE...

One-day Parkhoppers are up to $77 (non-discounted), so $30 for a block-out pass is a relative bargain ...... as long as you don't do it too often (in which case you're better off upgrading to a higher level of AP) .......

Does a *block-out* ticket for $30 get you into both Parks or just one?

Blockout tickets are good for both parks.

FYI, before 2 PM, the only people they were allowing into Disneyland were folks staying at the three hotels, and folks re-entering.

Everyone else was sent to DCA.

    And this is Tuesday.

So ticket restrictions started before Noon.

Want to attend NYE, get to the park EARLY!!!!!

No, you cannot buy block-out tickets in advance.
