I think they have really impoved over the last 3 years or so. I tried the gumbo for lunch, then we ate at BB and I had the gumbo for my appy, and they are the same, which is great because that serving in my pic is just the small size! I can imagine trying to eat a full serving! they have a fairly good ceaser salad too. Sorry all you monte cristo lovers, but while they do have them there and I've read they are good, those things give me shivers! lol....

Thank you for all the photos, Smiley! And indeed, food quality and variety has greatly improved in the parks in the past couple years. No more days of every place having the same old rather uninspired hamburgers and crappy sandwiches, especially in Disneyland counter service. Some locations still not optimal in terms of taste to me (Pizza Port, Zocalo) but at least there is much wider variety beyond them.

Oh man we will be in DLR on Wednesday...I can hardly wait!
I'm sure going to miss these breakfasts at Carnation Cafe. I know a few other places have breakfast, but CC's are the best. Are there others as good I'm not aware of? Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. In the past, on the days we go in early we get in the park before rope drop and enjoy breakfast at CC. But not this trip. Are there any good substitutions?

p.s. LOVE this thread! Maybe I'll take lots of food pics next week and share them here. I have to try that fried green tomato sandwich at Hungry Bear too.

mmmm these two are going on our PLACES TO EAT list too! I love the Plaza Inn chicken dinner and still have to have the all you can eat barbecue.

Panko-crusted chicken sandwich at the Tangaroa Terrace, Disneyland Hotel. Quite the relaxing spot this is most days, plus you can go in and look around and have a drink at Trader Sam's.
