It's gonna be expensive. Divide the number of meals you think will be served to you and parties annually into the annual dues, to see how much more you pay for each meal. Oh, and divide the initiation fee by the number of years you think you'll have the membership, then divide that quotient by the number of meals served as well.
Then, see if it is worth what you're paying for it.
If it is still worth it, then you'll have to wait for someone else to provide more information. I never get past this first step.

The other thing you need to be aware of is that you have to pay the first years dues at the same time as your membership fee, which means you have to fork over $35,000 in one shot.

If you got the money just sitting in your bank account and using that money won't hurt you in the long run then splurge. Then again I would think hard and wonder to myself if I had 35,000 dollars what else would I be able to do with that wad versus joining Club 33.

    Exactly.
Like throwing it towards paying off the house.

But like Micoofy said, if it's just pennies in the bucket for you
    go for it.

Re: Club 33 Mailing - Just Received

This is your invitation to become a Club 33 member! You've made it! Now all you have to is fork out $30,416 ($25,000 initiation fee + $5416 pro-rated first years dues as of June 15th).

Better call soon if you are still interested and have the cash. You need to come up with the $30,416 on or before June 1st. Memberships will become active on June 15th. Yes, the annual dues are $10,000 per year and there are quite a few membership benefits.
I suspect Club 33 Membership services (the phone number on the golden ticket) will skip to the next person on the wait list. There are over 800 people on the wait list and you are in the honored 100 invitees!

You have a tough decision to make, come up with the cash and commit to $10,000 per year or let it go because it will likely be a very very very long time before it is offered again. If you refuse I don't know if you can stay on the waiting list.

If memberships are offered again in the future I can guarantee the cost will go up. The last time I checked the cost it was $10,000 for the intiation fee and $3,400 yearly (that was about 5 years ago)

    ---------- Post added 05-15-2012 at 10:53 AM ----------

You can't get on the waiting list anymore, it was closed in 2005. The waiting list is 800 people long (more than a 15 year wait).

If the list were open. You can get the address to write to at City Hall at Disneyland or call guest services.
Write (do not attempt to call) and request to be put on the waiting list. They wiill send you an information package. Read & submit your formal request to join the waiting list. You will not receive a response if the list is open, if it is closed you will likely receive a very nice letter explaining the list is closed. Now you have to start saving your money and get some really nice raises for the next 15 years or so.

Now that you put it this way, go for it.

Re: Club 33 Mailing - Just Received

There is no more Gold level membership, it is now a Platinum level and some of the benefits are:

    4 Premier passes
10 free VIP tours per year
    access to Club 33
access to an exclusive Club 1901 lounge
invitations to member exclusive events (some are free most are not)
bragging rights (if that's important to you)
50 complimentary admissions to Disneyland and California Adventure per year

it used to be UNLIMITED admissions when you were dining at the Club, but a few members abused that benefit and the rules were changed this year. So unless your guests have APs they will have to pay for park admission to dine at the Club, one way around this is to enter the Park after 5:30 PM for dinner and head to the Club about 30 mintes before your reservation, going almost directly to the Club will not require the member to use one of the precious 50 comp admissions, after dinner your guests will be escorted to the exit gates.

heard Gold level members were offered the opportunity to upgrade, but had very few takers $10K a year, it seems, its a little steep even for long time members who dont see the value in the upgrade. which is saying something about how they feel about the value of the Club even at the Gold level. Special members only events jumped up to $175 per person this year. So not only will you pay $10K per year to be a member but it'll cost you plenty just to be a member as well, unless you're a Gates or a Zuckerberg, that might sting your wallet. Something to consider before making such a commitment.

Waiting list reopened....because a lot of members quit (not getting their money's worth), and a lot of people on the waiting list decided it was too expensive.
