    Passholder Early Entry Details

With all the excitement over the Passholder previews at DCA, this seems to have slipped by, or maybe I missed it:

Annual Passholder Early Entry | Passes | Disneyland Resort

It turns out that you can't just show up, you have to register in advance, each passholder is limited to one early entry to each park, and your pass must be valid that day - no blockout tickets or other tickets allowed.

I believe you can have a block out day.
Disney will just issue you a ticket for the event.

    No, I don't think so.

You may only participate in Annual Passholder Early Entry events on days when your Annual Passport is valid for theme park admission (i.e. not blocked out) and you have a confirmed registration.
Blockout Tickets and non-Annual Passport tickets will not be accepted for theme park admission during the Annual Passholder Early Entry event.

Apparently not for this according to the FAQ.

Can I use a ticket other than my Annual Passport if my Annual Passport is blocked out on a certain day? No. Blockout Tickets and non-Annual Passport tickets will not be accepted for theme park admission during the Annual Passholder Early Entry event.

It's definitely smart of them to do it as a registration required admission and a one time only. While I wish I could just show up an hour early every single magic morning, I'm pretty sure there's enough other people thinking the same way that it really wouldn't be much of a difference crowd wise.

You're talking about something else. You're talking about the AP Preview event Disney is selling. This thread is about the AP 'early entry' days Al mentioned in his column a bit back. Where Disney was going to open the early entry program to APs.

    this is what I found:

If you are selected to attend the sneak preview on a blockout date for your Annual Passport type, you will receive a 1-day Disney California Adventure Park blockout day ticket for the date of the preview.

That's one of the previews, not the early entry.

    Re: Passholder Early Entry Details

Yes, the early entry is an opportunity for any AP holder to basically get a Magic Morning pass. You can get one for any day in the summer, June 18 through September 13. Any APer can get one but only one. It's not a lottery or contest, and it's free.

Annual Passholders Early Entry is limited

Just got an email about early entry for APs. You have to register and you are only allowed one for DCA and one for
DL between June 18 and Sept 13. It`s for one hour before the park opens and blockouts apply.
I was hoping you could get in early every day it is offered.

Only one day? That kinda sucks...I was hoping to go at least 2 times this summer I understand they should limit it but only once?

That makes sense. With as many AP holders as there are, it would ba a "Leapday crowd" every morning otherwise.

^half of the Aps are blocked out...people still have work (or at least I hope most APers work) and I was not saying let you go ten times or anything but I would say at least once a month

How does it work for AP early entry outside of those dates...can you get in early every day that a Magic Morning is available?
