COOL!! It's official. It almost makes me want to be a senior in high school again... Almost.

Did anyone else notice it said exclusive to Grad nite? Or was I mishearing things?

    Re: Rockit mountain (old news?)

I am thinking they will use Grad Nite to preview and test this version of the ride to see how it goes over with the High School age kids. If they like it, it will then come on line for the rest of us. If they don't changes will be made before it opens to us. Right now though it looks like this first look is only on Grad Night for the seniors.

I wonder how much of all that stuff they show in the video, which is obviously all added through special effects in the film, will really be there.

So they promote Rock'it Mountain and insult teachers at the same time. Nice.

How do they insult teachers? I didn't see anything like that.

They said, its a once in a lifetime oportunity except if you become a teacher. Then you hear a dial tone as if the idea of becoming a teacher has been hung up on. (ie becoming a teacher will never happen)

I think it's just an innocent joke. Most people my age don't have the foresight to look at teaching as a serious profession yet, they're still too busy making fun of Mr. so-and-so's toupe and getting manditory detentions for it. They're just trying to pump up the "cool factor", I guess.

Anyways, I don't have a bad view of teachers or professors for that matter at all, however I'm fairly certain as I have waining paitience it is never going to be a profession that's all that appealing to me.

I do remember that shot though, and it did bother me when I saw it, but then other things came up on other threads that bothered me even more and I guess I just forgot it. It does make it seem, from the look on the boys face though, that at least he is not interested (or that the very idea) in becoming a teacher and that it is a stupid career choice. But then again, given the way kids behave in shcool today, I am not sure I would ever go back to being a teacher unless it was a private school. Public schools in California are now a joke anyway.

If it makes you feel any better, I want to become a teacher in my later years, after I'm done doing stage performance and such (if it works out, anyway...) - and I'm a teen.

This Rocket (I refuse to spell it with an "i") Mountain seems like it's going to be pretty fun, are they going to run it faster at all? Or is there just going to be a new soundtrack?

It does say it's exclusive to grad students, but it says "youll be among the first to experience Rockit Mountain" indicating that it will be going on after all the grad nite events are done.

Oh great! Grad's are the guinea pigs! With so many deaths occuring on grad nights at disney you'd think there trying to kill us younglings! These crazy teens will test the heck out of this ride!

The dress code has definately changed since my grad night back in '87. We had wear suits and dresses. Very modest stuff. I guess now you can look as slutty as you want.
