Yessir there was a time when you could buy a horseshoe in Frontierland, a shrunken head in Adventureland, and a model rocket kit in Tomorrowland. These days you can walk into almost any Disney Store in the park or out and find the exact same pink and blue plastic generic merchandise and beach towels... It's kinda like walkin' into a dollar store somewheres...except for the prices.
Shoppin' used to be part of the show...if you were in Frontierland you'd find frontier related stuff...quality stuff too. And the same went for all the other lands...theme related merchandise...quality stuff...stuff you could only find in Disneyland has been replaced by stuff with a generic "Disney Parks" label.
And, I suppose because I'm a grizzled ol' timer...cheap pink and blue plastic stuff with glitter sprinkled all over it just don't cut it in my book.
You can find the same kinda stuff in just about every dollar store and Walmart in America.
Am I bein' "old fashioned" here fellers? Am I bein' picky? Or have things kinda cheapened up some lately?
Oh how I long for the good ol' days...
Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.
