The University of Southern California Trojan Marching Band (aka The Greatest Marching Band In The History of The Universe) is scheduled to be marching down Main Street USC at 6pm (edited 12/30) on January 1st in the year 2006. This info is very reliable as I found it on the band's site! Hope you can brave the crowds to see these guys perform.

Thanks for the post on the Trojan Marching band performing at Disneyland. I am a UT fan and their band is performing on the 2nd. Good luck to the trojans and their band, I have a friend who is in the drum section. They are damned good. I had also made a post of UT's , which has just generated looks only and no replys. I, too, notice your post is just generating looks only, so I decided to reply to your post. Obviously, it looks like just you and I have an interest in this and not the other mice chatters. Oh well!!!

They actualyl updated their site? wow. I wish I could be there. Hopefully they'll make a DVD like they did two years ago for the Rose Bowl.
LOL They're not even the best band in the LA Basin, let alone the world. And might I remind you all that Notre Dame is the first, original, and best college marching band. : )

I'm more a fan of Corps type College Marching Bands and Drumlines, but I enjoy USC a lot. They're a lot of fun, and I know of lot of their members. Hopefully they can behave themselves again at Disneyland and not get banned...

I beg to differ with you here, Notre Dame does not come even close to have the best marching band. The best bands are either University of Texas Longhorn band or Wisconsin Badger band, by far.
Unfortunately I cannot stand corps style bands anymore, whether high school or college. That DCI stuff is just plain boring. I wish they would bring back the show bands of the 70's-80's. Granted RCC is extremely good.
I loved being in Long Beach Jr, Concert Band , in their awesome, crowd pleasing drum section. None of this rudimental percussion, especially pit. I have seen so many bands that play a song and instead of a street beat, you will see one single snare playing "tap tap tap". Man , now that is really exciting. Nothing can beat thunder drums for excitement and getting the crowd pumped up.
Bring back the days of the old Long Beach City College marching band too!!!
Not to take this thread OT, but my band will be marching down Main Street on the 4th. And we'll be awesome! (As usual.)
