Carsland popularity effect on reducing Fantasyland ride wait times

One thing we've always tried to do is hit FL fairly early, after IJA and SM, to avoid what becomes the longest wait time later in the day.

Now with Carsland being "the new place" for the youngsters, do you think FL will be more managable?

I think that the crowds will even out between the parks once DCA starts opening at the same time as DL.

So yes, Fantasyland will have lower wait times once Cars Land opens.

Re: Carsland popularity effect on reducing Fantasyland ride wait times

if Carsland becomes so successful that we see some attendance cannibalization from DCA then maybe?

Its a different park though so any kind of attendance shift will be diffused over the whole of Disneyland which means it'd only have a mild impact on summer crowds and fantasy-land would still have proportionally longer lines compared to other rides in Disneyland. It simply might not have as long a line as it had the summer previous.

That is also assuming that the general tourist boost to the resort as a whole doesn't cover the cannibalization effect that occurs with a new/successful second gate.

This whole relaunch idea really is unprecedented. I think the relaunch will be big though not quite as big as a totally new park.

I doubt it. I think it'll be so hard to go to DCA with their crowds some people will elect to go to Disneyland instead. I don't think it's APers filling the ques in Fantasyland. When people book a vacation/trip to Disneyland, that's where they want to go, Disneyland.

Maybe in the mornings yes the rides will get less people...but don't expect on most days when the parks are filled for any of those rides to have less lines then they would last summer

Based on the height restrictions for the 3 rides in cars land, do you really think they will bring that many "young" children ? Maybe, but I have a feeling that fantasy land will still be packed because all the families with babies and toddlers wont be able to ride the cars lands rides.

I honestly don't think it'll reduce the wait times. In fact, I'm pretty sure it'll increase them -- not just for Fantasyland but every ride/attraction in both parks.
