I Get In. I Get Out. I Never Get Noticed!- From "Prep And Landing"
I'm going to miss the Tortilla Factory but this is turning out pretty good. And excuse my ignorance, but are they going to be giving out small, free samples of chocolate or do you have to pay for everything?
"To all who come to this happy place... welcome." -Walt Disney
"And that was without even a single drop of rum" -Jack Sparrow
^ They will hand out complimentary samples (free chocolate squares according to the blog.)

"We're going to take you out of this world of reality for a visit to the most fantastic of all the worlds of fantasy." - Walt Disney
The menu might look something like this:
Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop - Downtown Disney
I look forward to treating my daughter to hot chocolate on a cool day.
(I got this from allears.net .)

The sundaes look great, and for not a bad price, either! Will AP discounts be given here?
Thanks for the pictures of the menus Disneyland1951!! I wanted to give you a negative reputation just because the ice cream looks soooooooooo GOOD!! They were making me hungry, LOL!!!![]()

It looks great! The menu seems to be the same one as the one in San Francisco. And the prices look to be the same, too. I'm really excited to visit!
Yes! This is great. And I am not even a big chocolate lover...
Menu is similar to what I remember of when I was at Ghirardelli Square in SF a long time ago. Looks very nice outside. It doesn't have to be a huge place. Quaint. I like the blue and white.
I see Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough beckoning me... "Come to DCA... Come to DCA..." Ok, I will.

Mmmm I hope there is a soft opening early since I'm going from the 3rd-5th and just missing the actual opening. The Ghiradelli in San Francisco is just far enough away that I almost never get to go to it!
Keeper of the Dynamite Goat on RCMC
HAPPYYYYY!!
I wish they could use that balcony for seating, though. Seems like it would be really neat to sit up there while you enjoy your sundae.
I just noticed on the right of the indoor photo is someone with samples, which implies that this shop is pretty small. Would those who attended today agree?
Not real small, but it will be crowded. The seating area is also too small.
The store area is about the same size as the open area of the Tortilla factory. With stations along the back and narrow displays similar to the remodeled Candy Store in Disneyland. It is also about the same size as the Candy Store.
I've visited the actual Ghirardelli up here in the city and this looks just about right to me! Can't wait to enjoy the sweet fixings while I'm strolling through the new DCA!![]()
