How did you used to usually ride the Matterhorn?

Just a poll for the sake of curiosity now that the new bobsleds are on the way. I know a lot are opposed to the new seats, but from my experience, it seemed like more people would ride alone than in pairs when I watched.

I voted single, but I usually sat out Matterhorn. I, for one, am really excited about the new seats. I HATED having someone in my lap/sitting in someones lap, but sitting alone I had too much room and it was bumpy and hurt my butt and knees

I have almost always ridden with someone. Depending on size of passengers, either front or back. I'll miss that!

I'm voting for alone, but honestly, it was probably close to 50/50. If I was with a boyfriend, I'd ride in front of them; if I was with one of my nieces of nephews, I would ride with them in front of me (and I'm actually nervous about having anyone under 7 sitting alone). However, it's more comfortable riding alone and I do that when I can.

Single. I'm a big person (tall and fat) and that made riding double awkward - especially when I was with a guy smaller than me... I'm very glad for the new seats.

Re: How did you used to usually ride the Matterhorn?

I almost half-strangled one of my kids riding this ride a few years ago. They were just small enough to be getting tossed around on the turns and I felt I needed to secure them better than the lap belt. Didn't quite realize until the end that he was in a choke hold. Bad mom move.

Re: How did you used to usually ride the Matterhorn?

In the 80s and 90s it was cool to ride double on a date night or something, but for many years now I have been going as a single rider. It doesn't matter how many in our party ride, we would all go single. So that means we would take up to two trains!

I am wondering if guests will quickly figure out that the single line will be much faster and make the SL be just as long as the SB line? Any thoughts???

With a partner, Double is the best!

With a friend.... single is good.

Usually rode single, and recall "bracing myself" with legs stretched out and grabbing those little handles built into the inside of the sled.

The new sleds look like they may afford a more snug seat, which should be more comfortable. On the other hand, they look a little small! Hopefully there will still be enough legroom.

Re: How did you used to usually ride the Matterhorn?

I always rode double, but not because I liked it...rather because it was the lesser of two evils, I guess. I don't really like sitting in someone's lap, but I'm pretty small and would get thrown around mercilessly in those huge seats if I sat by myself. I welcome the new sleds with open arms!!
