Hi Everyone!


I meant to get a "Springtime For Mac Dad In Disneyland" thread up a couple of months ago, but I've been so busy this year that I completely ran out of time. So....no singing parodies of Mel Brooks' musicals this year. (I can see the disappointment on all of your faces....)

Instead, I'll be posting one photo thread for both the Spring and Summer. I thought I would begin with shots of both resorts dating back to January and eventually include shots of Buena Vista Street and Carsland as I will be making a trip in on June 10 to hopefully photograph both areas during the evening hours. I will also be updating this thread throughout the Summer months, so PLEASE check back if you get a chance!


I also wanted to encourage all of you to please look for my friends and I whenever you are in the park with or without your camera.(Look for a combination of tripods, DSLRs and baseball caps.) I've had such a great time hanging out with several folks this year, most of whom are here on Micechat but others who I've met through flickr. If you have been following my flickr page, most of this first batch of shots will be familiar to you, but I hope to get several more shots up by the end of next week. As always, no permission is needed to use any of the following shots for wallpaper, and larger sizes can be found by clicking on the photo, which will take you to my flickr page. These are all amazing! Personally, I'm usually not too fond of photos of fireworks. I suppose nothing is as nice as seeing them go boom in person. But that shot of the fireworks through Tarzan's Treehouse is absolutely incredible. I've never seen one just like it.

YOU bow your head.....??? Good gravy my little snap shots pail in comparison to BOTH of you guys!!! I have so wanted to come down and hang out when you guys do a MiceChat Disneyland Photographers Meet up just try to absorb a molecule or two of the talent you guys have, but haven't been able to get to the park since January... and looks like it will be the end of September before I'll be back again.

Now excuse me while I go pick up my eyeballs because they fell out in amazement and awe....

Thanks SydneyMouse! I completely agree about the large number of talented photographers on Micechat. I've mentioned this before, but my interest in Disney photography started right here, back in 2005, as I was looking at the amazing shots that were posted each week.

Thanks sbk1234. That one was a bit of a challenge as they generally close the Treehouse each night before Fantasmic as they don't want to burn people's eyes out with the lasers coming up there from the show. (At least that's what they told me.) That shot was taken while Fantasmic was down for a refurb right after the holiday season ended.

Hey....just let us know when you are in town! Gregg and I are both 10-15 minutes from the park. Steal your daughter's DSLR and come on over! (Although I've seen some AMAZING shots from your point and shoot!)

I'll try to get a few more in before this weekend. Mike Greening (Ring of Fire Hot Sauce) and I are headed into Carsland and Buena Vista Street on Sunday night with our cameras. We've heard both ways, but we're assuming that they will let us take shots in these new areas as, by that time, most of these areas will have been seen online via Disney marketing, commercials, etc. Assuming I get some decent shots, I'll be posting them back here next week. In the mean time, I'm slowly going through my mountain of shots from the past 5 months or so, so I'll try to get more up soon.
