Always take some Cash!!!!

Yesterday I did not take any cash with me to DCA. We went to get some lunch around 11:45 and waited in the long line at Pacific wharf cafe. After 10 minutes or so the CMs announced that all their registers went down. Waited a few more minutes and then head it was a Disney Resort wide outage. Then Lucky Fortune Cookery started taking cash only, and Cocina Cucamonga closed. Pacific Wharf Cafe decided to start taking cash so we went to get some. By the time we got back to the Cafe the line was huge so we left to find food elsewhere. Ended up at Whitewater snacks after being turned away from two other places that had closed. I will always make sure to have some cash from now on.

Yeah, we were there yesterday too... and the system crash happened right at noon, right at the beginning of a lunch rush! We were at Tomorrowland Terrace. A CM told us they were taking cash only, so we went to Pizza Port. Were told the same thing, and that it was park-wide. No worries though, we just jumped on the monorail and had lunch at Rainforest Cafe

There are Chase ATMs around the park.

^could be wrong but I think there is a charge for using that if your not with Chase.

But yeah always have at least 20 bucks on in the parks, should be able to survive with that for one person

I you don't mind getting wet I've noticed lots of it in the shallow parts of Pacific Wharf

It's always a quick walk to McDonalds or some of the Downtown Disney places that are on their own system.

we always try and use cash on all food related items only credit cards for merchandise & anything else

True always carry cash or use an ATM to get cash.

My last vacation was "all cash purchases", except one. I got two complimentary gift cards from World Mark, and I used one to buy my photo CD. That transaction went fine, and then two minutes later I was denied using the balance on the first card, and the total on the other. I hate those gift cards, and from now on, I'm turning down any offer that offers me those.

Cash is better anyway.

ORWEN: Here in Morva, credit cards haven't been invented yet so it's always gold or silver coins that us cauldron girls use to pay for whatever we buy.

I've noticed with younger people I work with (early 20s), never carry cash and always have problems at places where they need to pay to park in LA, or buying food at some kind of festival or market. Just always have an extra $20 bill in your wallet and you never have a problem. Having said that, I currently only have 3 dollars in my pocket right now.

I personally hate carrying cash around Disneyland. If I buy something, I don't want to have to deal with jingly coins in my pocket while I try to walk around. Handing over and taking back a credit card is a lot more convenient.

convientant YES, but if what happened yesterday happens again(it happened in the month of May too) cash always helps

I got my ice just at 11:59 my reciept says lol so i was happy.

There was a family near me talking about the outage and half them got up and said" we are going to the other side,when i spoke up that it was park wide and not worth the trip one of the husbands said" how would you know" So as i talked to the wife,grandma grandpa and the grandchildren, (carsland, how its to work for mickey mouse, have i had lunch with mickey stuff like that)guess who came back 20 mins later empty handed. To which his wife said "JERK he works for disney"lol
