...I actually know Kobe personally, so I am making my statement based on personal experiences, not the words of gossiping employees. I won't say anymore out of respect for his, and so as not to disclose my own, privacy.

    Fair enough.

But on behalf of the valet parking team at the Hotel, the next time you talk to Kobe remind him that when he drives the Bentley down to Disneyland next, he should bring a few dollar bills for the tip. A few dollars of tip is customary for valet parking runners, especially if they have kept your car parked in close proximity and offered instant service upon your arrival and departure.

Kobe just never seems to have any cash on him when it's time to pick up the Bentley, darn the luck.

Life isn't Fair many others would say the same if it were you or me. Also its not the far from opening up anyways. Also for rumors about Kobe lets face it who is making the Big Bucks c'mon Money Talks!

Yes money talks, and also press is great. But another reason to let stars in early is the same reason they get the special treatment on a normal day, safety and security. Big stars frequently get mobbed when they go through the parks unescorted. Some times even with an escort and entry from the back of attractions they still get mobbed and are unable to ride. It makes way more sense to let him in now than add one more crowd issue to carsland when its open.

Mr. Bryant has a well known reputation with front line Attractions Cast Members, plus the valet parking guys over at the Hotel. At his best he keeps to himself, lets his tour guide do all the talking, and occasionally smiles at a pretty Attractions hostess. At his worst, it can be very uncomfortable for all involved.
Actually he IS a really nice guy! Working at the movie theater that he personally enjoys going to, I dealt with him all the times he has visited. From food running, walking him to the theater etc. He is probably one of the most friendliest celebrities I have encountered.

No, really, does it matter? Did his family cut in line in front of you at RSR?
Disney has been hosting celebs for decades. Michael Jackson was always getting preferential treatment at the Park as do
a lot of other celebs. There are other things to get upset about in the world than Kobe and family in Carsland.

Top Ten reasons they allowed Kobe Bryant into Carsland:

    10. Bought special Tall Dude AP.
    9. City Hall comp for bashing his knees on the new Matterhorn bobsleds.
    8. Disney heard he's loaded and wants to sell him a DVC.
    7. Official Spokesperson for emergency Luigi's Flying Tires replacement, "Bryant's Beachball Bounce."
    6. Hired to coach DLR Security how to bodycheck fan photographers at DCA preview.
    5. It's really Kobe's evil twin brother Kibble, a Senior VP at Universal.
    4. Mary won first prize in employee "Dream Date with Kobe" raffle.
    3. "Came for the turkey legs, stayed for the preview."

Re: Why Did they allow Kobe Bryant into Cars Land?

To all those people saying Walt would not allow this it is simply untrue. Opening day of disneyland july 17 was a staged televised opening event for celebrities dignitaries and media. The opening day to the public was July 18th, they even celebrated as such for the first decade of the park.
Walt Disney always catered to celebrities and when they didnt have tweets or facebook updates they had newspapers, gossip columns and magazines that showed celebrities at disneyland . It was all good press for the park.

It may not be fair but it has been done since the opening of the park chill people .
    11 days to go!

Would you rather let celebs get their Cars Land fix now, or have them wait till June 15 where they'd skip ahead of you in line, anyway?

You're right but I thought Disney was different "it's all about the money" at the end of the day right. But I do understand guests would probably mob Kobe or any other celeb. And I also heard about the Michael Jackson stories about closing down the park for him and Elvis as well but they might be just stories.

If you have the money, Disney can do it...

They could've let him in just because... I mean, the press can get in too so it isn't extremely unfair.
