For those of you too young to have traveled Route 66 back in its heyday, I can tell you that Disney really did its homework in adapting many of the Mother Road's nostalgia into Cars Land! The "Here It Is" sign really resonated with me, as it pays homage to a CLASSIC Route 66 landmark -- the Jackrabbit Trading Post in Joseph City, Arizona.
Driving mile and miles through the Mojave Desert is tough on a kid. When you started seeing wooden signs with rabbits on them along Route 66, your excitement level went up -- the Jackrabbit Trading Post was up ahead! As each mile brought you closer and closer to the trading post, so did the size of the rabbit signs. When you finally arrived, there was a massive sign near the highway exit that showed the largest rabbit yet with the words "Here It Is".
Many thanks, Disney, for making this great memory a part of Cars Land!
