Disneyland Hotel Very Early....1955 or 1956....who is this?

I found another reel of film labeled 1955-56 which featured footage from the Disneyland Hotel. I had the film converted from 16mm to DVD and a new feature my lab provides is a jpg image of each and every frame of the film. This is great for sharing, posting, blogging and overall documenting of the film contents. One frame, shown below, has Linda and Christopher Wrather in front with two young ladies standing behind them. The girl on the right in the blue dress looks (to me) like Mouseketeer Doreen from the MMC. What do you think? Is the other girl, on the left also a Mouseketeer and if so, whom?

By the way, when I asked Chris, he said he did not know who they were. He was probably 3 or 4 years old at the time of this.

I think the one on the right is Cheryl Holdridge, and Eileen Diamond on the left.

Makes sense from a timeline perspective as I read where Eileen joined MMC in April of 1956.

Eileen Diamond and Doreen Tracey. I did a bit of sleuthing and I believe those to be accurate Although It's tough to determine between Doreen and Cheryl.

    Howdy Pards,

Boy, this is a tough one... We're all in agreement I think that that is Eileen... but given the lighting and the fact that they are not wearing their mouseears it's hard to tell the difference between Doreen and Cheryl. Still, IzzyInWonderland and oldhotelguy, I think you are right...I think that is, indeed, Doreen.

Cheryl tended to have a different hairstyle, usually showing up much lighter in color...and she had a wider smile generally.

My first inclination was to think that this was Sharon...but she's a little tall for Sharon. Nope....I think this is Doreen Tracey for sure.

Kinda fun stirrin' up all these Mousekememories after all these years..."Forever let us hold our banner high..."

Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

Forgive my butting in, I have nothing constructive to add about the identity of the girls....

But I love looking at all your vintage photographs and videos from the DL Hotel. They are quite fascinating and always a pleasure.....

P.S. Is that lifeguard guy for real? Too funny, lol.

After getting caught up in the mouseka-sleuthiness of it all, and pulling up all the photos of Cheryl and Doreen I could find, and comparing features like chin, cheekbones, forehead and nose... it's clear that you guys are right -- it's definitely Doreen Tracey (compare the photo in the link to that in Don's post).

See, memory is no help in this case. Even after having watched every episode of the Mickey Mouse Club and its reruns eight jillion times as a kid, the only face I remember is... Annette.

Guess it's one of those guy things.

Many, many times I sit and wonder if it is worth it to take the time to post since it seems to me not many are even seeing my posts. I was even thinking this yesterday and today. Then I get an email like yours and I realize, it is worth it. Thank you very much. It means a lot to me to read a post like yours.

Exactly. I read all of your posts, and especially enjoy the photos.

I always thought the original Disneyland Hotel was an important element in the feel of the park. Even when we weren't staying there, we would ride over on the Monorail for shopping and dining.

The old hotel sign on top of the Sierra Tower was a wonderful icon that let us know we finally were on our long-awaited vacation.

Thx for posting about the old H's OHG. I appreciate MCr's passion for individual aspects of DLR like the hotels, monorail, etc.
