So are they using seat belts or lap bars? And if they're using seatbelts, are they lap belts or three point belts (over the shoulder)?

It is using seat belts just like Indy or Star Tours, nothing over the shoulder.

    Re: Matterhorn Opens

Here's the video from last night that I recorded during the soft opening in the evening hours.

The ride itself was somewhat smooth, but still rough and bumpy when it turns the corners.

In the video, you can see how fast it takes a guest to buckle their belt from left to right.

I stood in line at 7:30 when it was still day light out, by the time I got into the bobsled it had already turned to night. I waited almost an hour to get on the ride. I should have done the single rider line.

From what I have heard, if you are in the front seats of each sled, you will have to scrunch in to fit, but the other seats have a little more space for your legs. I hope it's not as bad as Goofys Sky School! My size 13eeeee shoes get stuck in that thing every time.

I'm not quite sure what people on this board were expecting from this refurbishment? It looks great! The paint job alone takes a lot of time. I'm not sure if people were expecting a new yeti or what, but these small additions make it great. The thing is, Matterhorn was already a great attraction and really didn't need anything additional. The yeti is fine how he is. I'm sure if they changed it drastically people would have the exact opposite reaction on this board that they messed with a classic. These boards confuse me, but I guess you can't please everyone.

Are you saying they'll turn people away if they're above a maximum height? I hope that's not the case because I'm 6'5" and if I CAN'T ride, I'll be pretty upset. I'll still ride, even if it's uncomfortable (like it always is with BTRR, SM, the OLD sleds...) but if they won't LET me?

Did it end up opening yet today? I was there at 10ish and they were having "technical difficulty" with no time frame on when it would open (but did say it hadn't opened yet today...)

Is it a smoother ride or is it still rough?

The loss of the tandem seating tugs at my heart strings; Matterhorn was a good date ride with the tandem seating and was fun for those long-gone youthful summer camp trips when you had a "girlfriend" for the day..

I'm not saying they will turn you away, but if fitting in the seat is an issue then yes, you won't be able to ride. The new configuration is very crunched and uncomfortable for those over 6'1".
