Brandon was his name I believe. I was kind of suprised they didn't have CMs in more "Newsie" type costumes. He was great though..he didn't skip a beat. As soon as my son asked for a paper he shoved the whole stack in his hands...it was great!!

I didn't get the clothes from any one spot and didn't buy them specifically for the event. My wife and I collect vintage clothes and go to events in vintage whenever we can. BVS was a no brainer for us as AP holders too.

    Sources include
    -Ebay
    -Etsy
    -Other vintage enthusiasts.

A great source for knowledge on the whole Golden Era (to include clothes, movies, lifestyle..etc) is www.fedoralounge.com . I've found many pieces in the for sale section.

Probably one of the coolest things we did in vintage (uniform is WWII era Marine Corps) was meeting a Hollywood legend, Mickey Rooney:

I'm looking at that picture and my brain keeps snapping between "holy mouse, that's Mickey Rooney" and admiring that gorgeous dress!

Thank you for sharing your pictures - you all look fabulous and (as many have attested), add so much to the experience for others! I know that, as a CM, seeing a guest so into the experience that they deliberately dress to be a part of it all just makes my day. It's the adult version of the kids wearing a princess or pirate costume to the park. I hope more people discover the joy of dressing up for the occasion! You all look fabulous and I'm so impressed with each detail you captured. Thank you again for sharing!

    Part 4
It's been a busy couple weeks. I wanted to finish up our trip report.
After walking through Buena Vista St, we hit the new Carsland. As expected it was slammed with people so we just walked around a bit and looked at everything. If you like the Cars movies, you'll love the amount of detail they put into Carsland. It's not a likeness of Radiator Springs...it IS Radiator Springs.

Since everything was a 1-4 hour wait, we decided to move on and head back over to Buena Vista St to meet up with the others for a group photo.

Eventually the others came and we took another group shot:

After that, we hung out in Carthay Circle and just talked about how great everything looked and did some people watching.

We finally managed to get on the Trolley. We didn't get to ride it all the way due to a street show, but it was fun anyways.

Eventually we went to the Carthay Theater Restaurant for dinner which was very nice.
This was in the downstairs lounge:

I didn't get to many photos up in the restaurant itself...I was too busy looking at everything.

..and after a long day of excitement...I had myself a drink. There is actually a sphere of ice in the glass...had never seen that before:

Reading through so many reports on Cars Land and Buena Vista Street, I don't remember who said it, but that sphere of ice is supposed to help chill the drink more effectively without quickly watering down the drink like regular ice cubes do.
