RinKrisTin, maybe you should think of a place to meet for Dinner Sunday night and say everyone will be there between a certain time.

I would recommend Paradise Grill & Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta. There's a lot of outdoor seating and easy to have large groups meet or come and go.

Ah I know -_-; I know giving out phone numbers is not the safest way of doing this but I figure even with 3G at the parks, I'd get a text WAY faster than an email in case people want to get a hold of me.

Coheteboy, all of your suggestions are gold to me! Paradise Grill sounds like a plan to me. Also, with this being less than a week away, Ill make sure to message everyone that has replied to the poll for the 8th just a a quick reminder. That way you can send me your phone numbers if you would like for me to keep in further contact with you.

So so far we have this for the plan

Sunday July 8th meet up @ 12pm in front of Grizzly River Run.
Sunday Night we'll do dinner at Paradise Grill @ 630pm. That should be fair enough time for those joining up with us around 5-6pm.

Also, will we be seeing you there Coheteboy? I know you posted for July 1st but it would be nice to see just who has been giving me all of this wonderful advice! lol.

And it should be 12pm under the GRR Lift track... this is so we are out of the way and in a spot that would obviously be a meet up location. There would be no confusion that day on where we are.

1200 miles is far for me, can I propose that we just make a whole section of this site be for personals/dating... that way we can find those that live near us... I'm 20, single in Seattle area, any ladies in my area?

If anyone is interested in a childfree meetup--NOT a dating/singles meet, but simply a "meet other childfree people and make friends" meetup, I'll be posting about it in the fall, when everyone's APs are valid again.

Oh! I hope that while I've mentioned that this is a Singles meet up, I hope that no one seems perturbed by that fact. I also hope to make this more of a casual way to meet new people who happen to already have something in common. There won't be any crazy pairing off, and I don't want this to feel like a 'speed dating' situation. Just a nice environment people can enjoy themselves in.

If you just so HAPPEN to hit it off with someone... well by all means =)

Not at all. I tend to avoid singles meetups for a couple of reasons: one because I don't like being defined by relationship status (I'm not a single, I'm me!) and two because it seems like a lot of people go to them with ulterior motives of not being single anymore. I'd rather meet and enjoy people's company without worrying if they're just talking to me because they want to hook up with me-- or worry about being ignored if they don't want to hook up. That's just my own personal perspective so it's NOT a slam on the meetup at all. I think it's great that all of you have been able to organize something.

We were talking about a childfree meetup on here earlier, so I'm just letting people know that it's still in the mix in addition to this one. I'm sure a lot of folks will attend both and I wish your meetup the very best of luck.

sounds like a plan! gonna try to meet up with the rest of you that evening...

as this would be my first meet-up... how do these usually work? just meet up and collectively decide on what to do? and now that the singles v. childless topic has been brought up, i'm not quite sure what to expect at this point, though i figured it was just meeting other disney fans with the "single" aspect being so that it's a group outing so the singles don't feel like a third wheel around couples?

either way, i'm intrigued! see you all sunday!
