Matterhorn climbers? I know a while back I read on the Disney Parks Blog that they were bringing climbers back to the Matterhorn thogh I haven't been in the parks yet to see the refreshed matterhorn. So has anyone seen the new climbers on the mountain or does anyone know when they are to come if they haven't yet.
They were on the June 15 - 21 DLR schedule, and listed as climbing between 10 am and 4 pm. I didn't personally see them while I was there, but they were present.
Confirmed! My friends and I definitely saw them when we went last Saturday, the 16th!

Am I imagining, or did the climbers previously have a costume to fit the attraction? I want to say they wore Lederhosen, but I'm not really sure...

You are correct early on they did wear more authentic Swiss mountain climbing garb but like all the CM costumes they changed over the years for more comfort for all employees and for the safety for the climbers .Originally Posted by ohmyjustin

hojo cam pick them up at 10:47 a.m. At 10:48 the hojo IT guy locked the cam to the top of the mountain. By 10:58, 5 climbers made it to the top, 4 in white hard hats and 1 in an orange hard hat.
It is now 11:07 and they are still there.
Kudos to the hojo IT guy for being alert and locking the cam so we can all see them.

Thanks for the confirmation! I wish there was a way to mix the fashion with function here. It doesn't have to be authentic necessarily, but I'd love to see something heavily inspired that still allows for full comfort.
