    Re: Whats your Favorite ride?

Peter Pan and Matterhorn always remind me of going on those with my Dad when i was a kid.

POTC and the Haunted Mansion, I love for many reasons, but because I love going on then with MY kids!

I also LOVE the Monorail and the Train.

    Can't pick just one.

At DL....The Matterhorn....and it's always better if I ride it with my hubby behind me to "cush" all the bumps and turns!

At DCA...Screamin'....it's my favorite roller coaster next to the Giant Dipper at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk!

Just have to add that I'm also one of the people who loves the smell of POTC!!

    Re: Whats your Favorite ride?

Well, I'm going to cheat because I can't pick favorites.

Main Street, U.S.A-The Train: Fun way to ride around the park.
Adventureland-Indiana Jones Adventure: Highly thrilling and I love the movies.
New Orleans Square-Pirates of the Caribbean: 'Nuff said.
Frontierland-Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: Wildest Ride in the Wilderness.
Critter Country-The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh...just kidding Splash Mountain: Fun ride and two thrilling drops.
Fantasyland-Matterhorn Mountain (not sure if this is its actual land, but...): What's not to love? (Except the roughness)
Toontown-Roger Rabbit's Car-Toon Spin: Awesome ride and awesome queue, and I'm also a fan of the movie.
Tomorrowland-Star Tours: Frankly, it wins by default. Buzz wasn't open in December of 2003 and neither was Space Mountain, and since I was always sort of a coaster chicken, I didn't get to ride it before.

    DCA:
Hollywood Pictures Backlot-The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: Yeah, it wasn't there yet, but since I love WDW's, I know this would have been my favorite.
    Golden State-Tie between
Grizzly River Run: Best (and wettest) raft ride I've ever been on. Extra fun when I went in December of 03 (we were thankfully staying in the GCH)
    AND
    Soarin': Nothing else like it.
Paradise Pier-California Screamin': My first launch coaster (I think) and a great experience.

POTC - I got to work on POTC for my ROP class. The lead at the time walked me all around the ride. I have come to call it my ride and enjoy anything and everything POTC.

    Re: Whats your Favorite ride?

Hmm.... well I was kinda surprised POTC was so popular, but yes I agree that POTC and HM are sort of "old reliables." (NOT in a bad way ok?? But they're just like, ones you have to do if you go to DL..) Plus, Pirates' line always moves along well....

But another favorite (at the moment) anyway is Big Thunder because it's thrilling enough and the line moves along.. it's cool, my friend and I have this new tradition when we go on - listening to music on my iPod.. haha! It's really cool.... a different experience (last time it was 99 red balloons, very cool)...

As for DCA: hmm..... I love Screamin' because of the "go," as I like to call it.. (the launch thingy) .. good stuff. I've finally faced my fears to go on the Maliboomer as of, like, several months ago.. haha (my friends dragged me on!) And I survived.. I just hated Supreme Scream @ Knott's so I was a-scared.. but yeah it still always gets me by surprise.

Soarin' is probably the best or most unique though.

Haunted Mansion, all the way, for me. I've always had this thing of reading Stephen King, watching old Hitchcock movies at two am and decorating more for Halloween than Christmas.

Ever since that first trip the details take me back. I write for leisure and the occasional buck and I tend to write the old creeky door tales. I love ghost stories. I have one hundred True Crime novels.

And Haunted Mansion plays right into that. It's creepy, for sure, but not scary. It's stylish and campy at the same time--hitting so many levels.

    So boo and peace,

My all-time favorite is the Matterhorn. But there are others I love amost as much.

Which rides do you ride more than once per trip or once per day? Big Thunder comes to mind for me.

Always the odd one out, I have to sy Casey Jr., with Peter Pan close behind.

In DCA it's ToT and Soarin' close behind.
    Good morning, son
    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I would have to say POTC #1, but a close second would be the Carousel of Progress, espcially for the theme song. Also loved America Sings.
