Smile How to save DCA's Hollywood Land!

Heres my idea to save HL, first of we've all chatted about getting rid of Monsters inc and Stage 17 and the muppets etc etc etc
here it is I would turn stage 12 into a tram ride station, the tram ride would go onto Harbor Blvd on its own bridge on a second floor street headed to the current toy story parking lot or as others call it the old strawberry field but by that time the area would be a studio lot like the one they have at DHS in florida and would last about an hour max or so and would show you attractions or shows disney style, not USH style like some of are thinking and believe me this would be a hit, the trams would be running continuously from the opening of the park to about 6pm this would probably make guests first attend DCA instead of DL, this idea also would probably make and save Hollywood Land and turn DCA into a full day resort! tell me what u think!

Um..I'm all for getting rid of Monsters, if for no other reason that it doesn't belong in Hollywood, but I don't understand what this tram would be showing people. The advantage of USH, is that they actually film things there and show you real sets. Would this be showing fake behind the scenes stuff, set in the 1930s? I'm confused. Also if you leave the park, what park is this ride considered to be in? Why take out Monsters, Muppets, and the Studio, if you're not gonna use them?

Have you been on the DHS studio lot, it's awesome and the one in CA would be 10 times better!

I for one would like to see something like Disneyland Paris's Studio Tour at DCA.

^This is the only decent thing on the tram tour in the Studio Park. The rest is a snooze fest.

Interesting idea but the studio tram tour idea died when the actuall studio (if you can call it that) aspects of DHS left. It's now a fake tour of a fake studio. DCA should not mimic its counterpart in Orlando since it is the cheapest and my least favorite of all the Disney parks I've visited (DLR and WDW). Just because DHS is based on "Hollywood" doesn't mean DCA needs to copy what they already have. I do like the idea of expanding the park off sight like Rafiki's planet watch has a train that takes you to another area of the park.

I agree. No more fake studio concepts!

The only way for Hollywoodland to sustain itself is as the version of Golden Day Hollywood that you can't experience in modern times. The empty stages should either be partially or fully demolished so that new attractions, restaurants, theaters, or shops and can work in their place that fit the theme of the land. Personally I think one stage should be a ride, another a table service restaurant. But the studio structure would have to be redone so you are no reminded that it's not there because you can see this while on the monorail and outside of the DCA gate.

Ok this can also work, it can be same park have a DCA.2.0 off sight it can be done and be an original part of DCA from DL

Re: How to save DCA's Hollywood Land!

before they do anything i hope someone from TDA goes out there during the summer and stands near a sidewalk for a bit. One thing i noticed is how HOT this part of the park gets. There is hardly any air flow because of the tall buildings and there is no shade at all. The rest of the park received so much nice shade but they neglected to do that here. I was hoping that they were going to add trees like in the concept art they showed five years ago when they added the new light posts but sadly they did not.

If they add a tree between each Palm this area would be so much more enticing and help with the summer heat. I think this would be a good start and not be too costly if they do it in sections

I'd be up for a Great Movie type ride but if you want to Tour a Studio Universal Does the best job (also I believe WB has a cheap tour too)

I think Hollywood has a few attractions that are not the worst things.....like Monsters, Disney Junior live...etc but they could put in some nice D or E ticket rides that would really draw more people into the land and also give them an excuse to redo the outside of many of the buildings
