Well ... despite the gaping holes in Tomorrowland .... I'm thrilled with all the great rehabs .. Tiki Room ... New "Buzz Lightyear" (hope it's not too toony) ... plus the new fireworks show .. and DL exhibit.

It won't be the "30th" or "35th" anniversaries .. which were great!! But this one will go over nicely. Not over the top .. but nice.

While I am guaranteed to have one of the best times of my life, I will consider a 50th birthday that underwhelms the 30th to technically be a failure.

Still, what management does or does not do is secondary to OUR experience and excitement over Disneyland's 50th Birthday!

I wonder if they'll do a special giveaway. I think it was the 30th or 35th when guests walked through the turnstiles, they had a chance to win something.

My father won free passes to DL for 4. Lucky for us... because we used them the next year!

Does anyone have their hotel rooms yet for this??

I know that IsM looked into the Disney Hotels a while back and they were (of course) booked solid.

Well, I got me a suite at the DLH, but the problem was all the BIG suites, both there at at the Grand Cal, were not being made available to the public at all - and were being reserved for Disney bigwigs. Bah.

Saved me a ton of money though, but I will have to scale back the hotel party quite a bit from the original conception.

If all things happen for a reason, though, this seeming setback means that Disneyland will, like the ultra-cool 30th and 35th birthdays of yesteryear, stay open for 24 hours on July 17!

I have missed the Tiki Room so much! I know they are taking good care of it, so that makes the wait for its return easier to take. Anticipation is a good thing.
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.
