Tony Baxter's New Project for Disneyland

Pretty knowledgable posters at that Magical place on line are saying Mr. Baxter has a brand new Disneyland project handed to him. One final gift of a significant new area/attraction for Disneyland. All to be done before he retires. Do any of you know about this mystery?

He's the best. His original Mermaid plan made a lot more sense than the one we have and they really should listen to him more often. Whatever it is, it'll be great.

Discovery Bay with Mt. Promethous as the focal point! A mix of Discoveryland in Paris and Mysterious Island in Tokyo. That ten year limit in duplicating TDS attractions has been met, by the way.

don't say that too loud or the original police might come and get you...

i highly doubt we'll see anything "unbranded" but if anyone could get it done, it would be Tony. To bad Bruce isn't around anymore, the two of them could have ripped disneyland a new one.

Me wonders if there is any correlation to the removal of the Auto-Subs area. Wow this has real potential on a grandiose scale. Tomorrowland is back baby.... I hope.

I would never leave Disneyland if they build Discovery Bay. We need a little Steam Punk in the land

Difficult to say. The obvious would be one of the new attractions for Tomorrowland but Tony has also always been interested in the Frontierland area (Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, The unbuilt Discovery Bay) so it could be something for that area too or maybe he wants to try his hand at an attraction based on a Marvel Comics property. Very difficult to say but I expect nothing less than the best from him.

as much as i would love a Mysterious Island Discovery Bay expansion in the Autopia Sub area.

I think it would be fitting due to his history at Imagineering to let him update Frontierland and finally bring a variation of Western River to the BBQ area.

Heck just do both... it would be a great way to counter Potter when it comes to Universal Hollywood
