Tahitian Terrace: Would it be a big draw?

I'm just wondering, if Disney brought back Tahitian terrace as a high end restaurant, how popular do you think it would be? Would it have reservations sold out by mid-afternoon? Would it never sell out reservations? Would it even be a big enough draw to warrant the need for reservations? I know personally, I love the concept of Tahitian Terrace, but I probably wouldn't ever actually get an appointment since I never do at any of the other higher end restaurants. I also wonder if Disney did bring it back would the demand be so high that lines would stretch into Adventureland and create more over crowding problems? Anyways just wondering everyone's thoughts on the subject.

I think it would be popular again, but I don't feel it would cause overcrowding in Adventureland. Would be pricy for sure. Bring on the fire dancers and grass skirts!

^^My problem is I'm too cheap to spend money (and time) to eat at higher end restaurants in the parks. The only "table service" restaurant I ever eat at is Rain Forrest cafe and that's not in the parks and only on the rare occasion. I do love the whole idea of live entertainment in a secluded jungle setting.

If the food was good it would be a wonderful addition to the park.

Dining at the resort is one of my favorite activities (as I suspect it is for most of us), and my favorite places to eat are the ones that are well themed and serve unique food items that you can't get at just any snack cart. If they did it right, I think it would be a hit.

I'd rather see them add the Adventurer's Club (as upscale in-park restaurant) like the one that used to be at Pleasure Island at WDW. So cool. It would be a great transition from Victorian Main Street to Adventureland. And unlike at Pleasure Island, upstairs balconies could have a view over Jungle Cruise (maybe, not sure the sight lines?). They could hide some references to a Indy's father as a young man (as a club founder or something).

Now that is something that I had not thought of. Very cool idea.

The biggest problem is just the cost. Your talking about $40.00+ per person per meal.

That, and it would be yet another WDW clone rather than something unique in the ORIGINAL Disneyland.

Yes, but some things are so great they're worth cloning (and if the first one is gone, it's not so much a copy-cat but a resurrection of something that never should have been taken away!). Anyway, it makes more sense here than Pleasure Island.

As for the cost of dining there, yep it'd be a splurge. Something to do every once in a while. Good to have that kind of stuff to savor too.

Re: Tahitian Terrace: Would it be a big draw?

Interesting... Everyone seems to think it would be popular/ expensive. As for Adventurers club, I doubt Disney would put enough money into it to build a complete restaurant structure when they can just demolish the Aladdin stuff and build a few fountains and some landscaping and open it as Tahitian terrace.

would the return include the show that served as the main draw to the crowds?
