    Question Fantasmic question?

While watching a F! Video last night, it caught my attention.
To some this might sound stupid, but for me im still confused.
How do Mickey and the queen get into place when its their time to show on stage, because the island in the front is pitch black, amd escipally for Mickey who wouldnt be able to see very well, how are they traveling around in the dark?
and i dont think its flashlights, because you could clearly see that from the viewing area.
Also any other fun tips or secrets people wanna share?

maybe glow in the dark tape on the floor, by the way I know you meant to type pitch but the P was replaced with a B just saying you might want to fix that.

It's actually stage lifts. Go on TSI during the day and look where the queen and Mickey stand. I know because sometimes, it bright enough to see the shadows at night.

    Re: Fantasmic question?

Not sure about Fantasmic specifically, but coming from a theatrical background there are several tricks of the trade. Glow tape is the most common for the edge of steps and walkways, but also common is blue rope light that is dim and positioned out of view of the audience but visible to the actors. Also, on the newer technology front there is what is basically electrified tape that can be controlled and turned on and off when needed to define the walkways.

Having a crew member guide in the blackouts is also common because they are hiding backstage out of the lights and their eyes are adjusted to the darkness. While the actors and audience are temporarily blinded when they go to blackout, the crew can come out and see clear as day. It's kind weird being on stage looking out a few thousand people knowing they can't see you!

ok everyone, pay close attention in that video to the Mark Twain and which characters are on board, there is a certain rabbit that I haven't seen anywhere for meet and greets but they obviously still have him around, why is he never out?

They pulled Robin Hood characters out of mothballs for the Modern Family episode and for Dancin' With Disney (recent video posted) so the Roger Rabbit costume has to be hanging in some costume warehouse -- waiting for the sequel?
