Happy B Day Disneyland I was at the Town Square celebration this afternoon. Short sweet and Awesome. Most characters I have ever seen together at one time.

Howdy Pards,
Just thought you’d like to know…
As Disney Characters from throughout the years circled Town Square on this magical day... these brief but wonderful words were heard…
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls,
57 years ago today, Walt Disney dedicated the Happiest Place on Earth. Since then, Walt’s dream has brought joy to millions around the world. Join us now, as we go back to that memorable day, July 17th, 1955…
[Walt’s voice] “To all who come to this Happy Place – Welcome!
Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of
the past. And here youth may savor the challenge and
promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the
dreams, and the hard facts that have created America. With the
hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.”
And now, let’s join together and sing Happy Birthday to the Happiest Place on Earth…are you ready?
Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you.
Happy Birthday Dear Disneyland…
Happy Birthday to you!
Thank you everyone. Enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney’s Magic Kingdom!”
Short… To the point…. But truly wonderful. Happy Birthday Disneyland. We love you.
As Parker's Dad says, "Short, sweet, and Awesome!"
Walt Disney's legacy...his Magic Kingdom...has good reason to celebrate 57 years of joy,
hopes, dreams, wonder, enchantment, magic, beauty, hugs and happiness...Disneyland
truly is the Happiest Place on Earth!
Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.

"I can see the cattle grazin' o'er the hills at early morn…
I can see the campfires smokin’ at the breaking of the dawn,
I can hear the bronco's neighin', I can hear the cowboys sing,
I'd like to be in Texas for the Round-up in the Spring."
Birthdays are for smiling, and singing, and sharing the day with friends. Looks like Disneyland knows what they are doing for sure.
57 years ago today I was at Disneyland for the very first time! ( I still wonder how my parents got to go, I never did ask them). I was six months old and have been every year ever since. Happy Birthday to my favorite place in all the world!
I have some pics somewhere that my parents took of DL shortly after it opened. It's so strange to see the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island looking so bare.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it but during the character moment in Town Square, they added something new this year. A few low level pyros were being shot from the rooftops of Main Street after singing happy birthday
Thought it was a nice touch Disney!
Howdy Pards,
Tis now the beginning of Disneyland's 58th year...Walt's voice echos down thru the years...
"To make the dreams of Disneyland come true took the combined skills and talents of hundreds of artisans, carpenters, engineers, scientists, and craftsmen. The dreams that they built now becomes your heritage. It is you who will make Disneyland truly a magic kingdom and a happy place for the millions of guests who will visit us now and in the future."
"Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world."
Adios for now. Talk to ya on down the trail.
