I love the subs, it's my favorite!
people are crazy. when the subs were gone, people wanted the subs to be back and now you want it gone!?
Same with Captain Eo, you people wanted it back but now you don't want it anymore? (But I do find it odd that the most popular ride @ DLR Space Mt is next to attractions no one goes on eg. Captain Eo and Innoventions.
^no no no we wanted the Subs back not Nemo......we wanted EO back for a year or two max....Disney is just to cheap to put something new in the theater that fits a Tomorrow theme

The subs have a slow rider throughput and are expensive to maintain. A new movie will probably have no effect on rumored plans at the resort to redesign Tomorrowland minus the subs, Autopia and Innoventions.
The Submarine ride is not safe because it left a long time ago. The Nemo debasement of the once great voyage thru liquid space however may be just fine. Time will tell.

Nemo is not confirmed, but I thought that the removal of the Subs/Autopia/People Mover track was a definite? Did I misread?
oh ok, uhmm, I don't remember the original subs but the Nemo isn't an improvement? cus I thought the imagineers made it better than the old ones. the ride was a lot longer, I really don't understand why this ride is so hated on. vs the old subs.
well it's either leave it running while they try to think of what to put in and how to go about it as opposed to leaving it dead and empty.

I don't think the ride is hated at all.
It's just the theme and story of the ride is really mehhh, especially compared to the old ride. Makes people not care if the ride leaves. It sucks as many love the subs, but the current ride doesn't have a place in many hearts.
I like the ride too, but I agree they could have done much better. It like a "look the lines only twenty minutes. Might as well" ride. Wasn't like that before. I would definitely miss the lagoon though. It's so gorgeous.
IMHO, it's not better. It's simply something that's there. Before the Nemo ride, it was simply an empty lagoon with NOTHING. So I'd agree that it's better than nothing. However, remembering what the ride could be really has soured many people on Nemo.
I remember the original subs, and no, Nemo isn't an improvement.

Yes, you misread it. There was nowhere in the Lutz article that said anything was definite. He only said they were looking at it.
Lutz was the only one that reported they were even considering it, and most everyone else in the know says it's extremely unlikely.
I still like the subs as they are now, but have to agree I preferred the previous version, and wish we had received something like that with additional money and care put into it. I used to love the battle between the shark and the octopus. One of my favorite scenes.
Or just put the old subs back...with some new effect.....that's what we want
