    Disneyland Flooding

Does disneyland ever have problems with Flooding in the rainy season? I know that Space Mountain is built underground a few feet and im sure there are other rides or buildings that may be also. So I as just wondering. The land around Aniheim seems flat....hope Disney has good sewer lines on their property.

How much would you consider an issue/crisis? Sometimes there are two-inch puddles in Fantasyland.
I think nearly everything flows to the ROA, which likely has a drainage hole above some level, which then flows eventually to the ocean via the out-of-park drainage system.

I wonder which is lower: bottom of Space Mountain or POTC?

    Re: Disneyland Flooding

It doesn't take much to flood Main St. I've heard that the original drain system in that section of the Park hasn't been updated, so it doesn't flow out very effectively. I know that the few times that we have been there in the rain, water stretches across the width of the street. It can get pretty deep along the curb.

If you go to the Park in the rain, be sure and take your rubbers!

First: I'm sure Pirates is lower underground.

Second: Backstage floods pretty badly. If you were there on Monday (1/2/06), there was a 2 ft deep puddle by the Inn Between (Cafeteria). It is tough getting around it all while it is raining.

Fronterland near the flag pole used to flood pretty bad. Also, Critter country floods badly in the fall (the leaves clog the drains)

There are deep puddles in places but I don't think enough to do damage...

I know your question doesn't have anything to do with the weather we are having up here these last couple of days, does it??? Is it ever going to stop raining?, please, someone make it stop! Our local golf course is a LAKE today

Back OT, I've never been to DL in the rainy season so I can't add to the post, I just wanted to vent about the carpy weather LOL

Actually the rain did spark this question. Good guess.

When I worked there, the exit to Captain EO would flood. I am sure it is the same now with Honey I Shrunk the Audience. There was one time that it rained so fast, they couldnt't get sand bags to the exit and water started going down the exit ramp and collected inside the theater.

    haha backstage, flooding is bad.

Also, backstage, LEAKY CEILINGS are bad. Trust me, there is nothing more nerve-racking then a piece of the ceiling falling off on your head in the Westide Diner because of a perpetual dripping leak... ESPECIALLY when PotC's last lift hill is right above your head.
