I forget when they added that Jan 2014 date but it was a while ago. It's pretty much a rolling date now.

They should just say "will open in six months". They can keep that up for years without having to change anything.

it has been a while since the project to replace the arrival plaza on Harbor Blvd with a new arrival complex/hotel was brought up. had anything come up since then?

I was looking at the Google map and the area seems small for a hotel when you look at the amount space used for the Grand Californian Hotel before expansion.

also, it seems like any major infill there will make that section of the monorail feel like a ride though a "building canyon".

I was looking at the Mattercam this morning and it appears as though they are testing the lighting for BTMRR. The light was cycling through subtle color changes...interesting.

I wish I was up at the time.

It will look great after the fresh paint during the day too.

Noticed last night that part of the second floor has been converted into a merch storage cage.

Last month, we gave you the first glimpse inside the major refurbishment of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland park. Today, I’m excited to show you our first video from behind the walls that surround the attraction. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad reopens this fall with a new track – which you can see being installed in the video below.

Regarding Sleeping Beauty's Castle...the top on the small turret that has been missing since the Christmas snow overlay was removed, has been replaced. Not a big deal, just a little update.

That's good news. Its been so long I thought they were going to leave it as is until the holidays.

What about the blue cone on the turret right next to that one (on the same tower)? That has been missing all year as well. I assume it has to be replaced prior to the holidays. Can they even place the faux snow covers on the castle's roofs with the real thing missing underneath?

In Downtown Disney near ESPN Zone they are setting a Phineas & Ferb MISSION MARVEL display with a large Video Screen.

That's the Waffle-nator from the D23 expo. I didn't give it a try, but it did look a lot of fun.
