Donald sunburst on Screamin' shield!

Mickey's happy "sunburst" face has really improved the look of the DCA ferris wheel and turned a sow's ear into a park icon, but that scream shield on the coaster next door still looks cheap and awful with the generic painted sun on it.

How about adding the matching Donald sunburst on the Screamin' loop to compliment the wheel - - it's slightly smaller, so perfect for subordinate visual relation to Mickey.

Hmmmm... It's an novel idea. But it would be kind of an overkill having both.

I'm with you. Sometimes I think the sunburst is my favorite part of DCA 2.0.

Poor Donald's star has fallen in recent years as the company has not promoted him or given the public wide access to his cartoon or comic classics. It would be nice to see him repositioned in a way that respects his importance to Disney's history (and hopefully, future).

As a Donald Duck fan I think it's a fantastic idea.

I think having his face where the sunburst is would be a little out of place on California Screamin. Mickey's face makes sense because it matches the name and theme of the ride. California Screamin's theme has nothing to do with Donald Duck.

Isn't Donald's face on one of the gondolas of Mickey's Fun Wheel as well?

In addition, CA Adventure has done a complete scale reversal from having relatively no characters to every new ride suddenly needing a character tie-in. Screamin' is fine how it is and does not need to be tied to a character.

Awesome photo, bigcatrick, that's it! Looks great to me -- so much more personality than the blank sun. : ) Donald's traditional blue burst looks good too while Mickey's still center stage!

It would be great but Mickey can stand alone or all 5 need to be up.
If Donald gets up there, I'll wonder why not add Goofy and the others?
