    fantasmic Columbia loses power Saturday

so saturday night, during fantasmic the columbia lost power at the first light tower, and had to be pushed to the whole way through. did anyone by any chance have a video of it. If you do please post the video... From what I heard the Columbia lost all power durring the peter pan scene just as it started and had to be towed or pushed the rest of the way durring the show.

This happens a lot and I'm sure there's video from other times over the years if you can't find it from that night.

It's the first time in a couple of years where the Columbia has lost power like that during the show.

Same thing also happened Friday night.

Yeah I saw this on twitter... And then they said that none of the characters were on the Mark Twaiin... Awkward.

This show is falling apart. It seems to be a different every night. It's not like they've been doing it for 20 years or anything!

Friday had no Murphy either and a pyrotechnic shot into the audience during the same show.

As a show that has multiple mediums and an insane amount of variables, I'm not surprised that things go wrong. I've never heard of the Columbia just stopping in the middle of a show. I didn't know there were tow boats available to move it through the water either. xD If anyone knows of a great video, I'd love to see it.

I also heard that there were no characters on the Mark Twain, the Ariel barge and the eels were cut out as well.

I'm not completely shocked that the Columbia failed on Saturday. I was visiting Saturday and maintenance was working on the Columbia they were having issues all morning. At one point the Columbia lost power when passing by hungry bear around 12PM if I remember correctly.

Was it the 10:30pm show on Fri? Because my 3 year old and I caught the 9:00pm show and everything went smooth.

That would suck! One of my favorite things in DL is catching Fantasmic everytime I am there (most Fridays, if not all Fridays). And my little 3 year old can't get enough of it and brags how Mickey saved her from the dragon. LOL

The Mark Twain looks bizarre with just 4 characters. For once, WDW's had a more impressive finale that night!

I guess they are not going to spend any of the money they get from price increases on maintaining the park assets.

They were having trouble around 11 am too. There was a boatload of people on the Mark Twain who had to wait up river quite a while until they could get the Columbia away from the dock.
