Gift Cards at Disneyland

What a hasel we at Disneyland during Christmas. The family had recieved Amer. Ex. gift cards as gift from relatives knowing we would be at Disneyland during x-mas. Well long story short my poor daughters card was usless after the first day. Disney had double charged our cards for the purchases we made that day. Of course Disney and Amer. Ex. said the other one was at fault and that the charges would be fixed within 7 days. Of course we only stayed 5 days so the kido didn't get to use her own money for her stuff. Just wondered if anyone else had the same experience.

Next time tell your family to give you Disneydollars if they know you are going to the park on a trip. I believe you can still buy Dinseydollars at the disneystores in the malls and at the parks themselves.

We had used the Gift Cards the year before and had no problems. The CM's seemed to have a hard time with the cards this year for some reason. The reciepts this year didn't keep a running balance also this time.

It could have somthing to do with the switch of AMEX to Visa being the official card of Disneyland. Stupid visa.....

^ it probably has nothing to do with that. If there is something she wanted and didn't get, call Disney DeliverEars and they can ship to you just about anything they sell in the parks. If you explain the situation, they probably won't charge you shipping and the gift cards should be refunded by then.

Thanks for the suggestion. We had to resort to cash to get her the things she wanted and she plans on using her balance at Barnes and Noble. Other wise I would have to say we had one of the best times at Disneyland. Even with the crowds and all we were allready planning for our next x-mas vist to Disneyland.
