    Request - Frontierland

    Hi there,

I am doing a little project (well, not so little anymore, really) of designing my own imaginary theme park. Now before you start of on "shouldn't you get some real friends" - yes I know. But hey, you are on this board reading something from someone you'll probably never se - ha!

Anyway, I won't bore you with the details of the project. The fact is though that I have encountered a problem, and I am curious on how it has been solved in existing cases.

Therefore, I need your help. If any one of you visits Disneyland these days, at night, and you have a camera with you, could you please take some pictures of the light plan of Frontierland? The idea is that Frontierland is from a time without electric light, and I am wondering what they use to light the area. Overall pictures as well as close-ups of the light sources - anything would be appreciated and I'd be eternally in your debt!

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

With all this talk of "off the shelf" and "on the back-burner" it seems the only thing that DCA is really missing is the kitchen sink!

Essentially, its like a play of Roller Coaster Tycoon, but much more focused on the theming. I have played that game a lot in the past, but about a year ago, I concluded that it didn't give me enough freedom in design.

It would be cool if this project would result in 3D renderings of the design including rides, buildings etc. However I don't know if this would be technically possible with today's computers - I assume it'll take a lot of process power to 3D render an entire park.

But then again, I'm only at the starting point so no need to worry about that yet.

I love the spotlights they have on signs in Frontierland at the Golden Horseshoe too. It's a lantern with the audience facing side painted so that light only shines in the direction of the sign.
