I just discovered one of the nights I have for my 3-day pass is a night they are doing Mickey's Halloween Party and it starts at 6pm. Does the entire park close early to everyone except the people who have tickets for the Halloween Party?

Yes, DL closes early. Only those who have paid for party tickets will be allowed to stay. However, to compensate for DL's shorter hours, DCA will stay open longer on party nights.
Well crap.
So when they close the park would they do it around 5pm since the party is at 6 or is it even earlier than that?
Why don't you just go to DCA this day so you get the most bang for your buck? And go to Disneyland the other two days! BOOM! Problem Solved!
Yeah I am thinking about that. I'll probably do California Adventure on Tuesday and do World of Color. Then I'll have the full day Wednesday and Thursday in Disneyland.
The Halloween Party sounds like it's fun but I don't really want to spend the extra money.
On Fridays DL will close at 7pm,a hard close everyone is directed out. On Tuesdays, the Monday and Halloween at 6pm. DCA will operate normally.
By the way on these days with party tickets you can enter DL 3 hours before the party starts.
On party nights, DL closes at either 6 pm or 7 pm, depending on the day, as stated on their calendar. As stated above, party guests can enter DL up to 3 hours before the party starts. So from 3-6/4-7 pm on party days, the DL crowds will consist of party and non-party guests. Before and at closing time, announcements are made throughout the park that non-party guests will need to make their way toward Main Street. The shops on Main Street will be open to non-party guests for an hour after general closing. After the party officially starts, CMs go through the park checking for wristbands. They stand in front rides and at entrances to the different lands. Anyone without a wristband will be escorted out. Hope this all makes sense.
My family and I are attending the first Halloween Party on Friday, September 28th! Kinda excited about that.. However I am kind of also sad because this will be my 4th visit to DLR and the 4th time I won't be able to catch Fantasmic!
No Joke!
During my first trip, when I was 8, I caught the first 5 minutes, then my mother wanted to do something else. My second trip, when I was 14, we went for two days in the middle of the week during off season.. No Fantasmic! My last trip, I was 20.. it was 2003 and the trip was paid for, 3 days in the middle of the week during off season again. No Fantasmic!
Now, haha, I'm 29, going again in the offseason (due to job constraints), and was looking forward to Fantasmic on that Friday.... when BAM! Mickey's Halloween Party! Park closes early. No Fantasmic!!! Hahaha... should I keep laughing or start crying because this is really getting ridiculous!

I will be missing Fantasmic for the first time due to going during a weekday on the off-season. We can cry together. Fantasmic is my favorite Disney Parks show.
