I so enjoy that show! I hope it keeps going for many more. I also hope they get a good show in Fantasyland too ...the Snow White one was so lack-luster for me. (I think that was the last one to perform there.)

UGH...that's 10,000 shows WAY TOO LONG! Can they just get rid of this tired old show and bring in something new, creative and fresh??? And its only become more of a joke since it's been forever since the magic carpet has flown. The new character stage show coming in summer 2013 to the Fantasyland Theatre will be such a welcome relief.

Sorry, but I do not share in the festivities of this occasion of "Aladdin".

On Saturday Sept 8th, the 3:20pm showing of "Aladdin, A Musical Spectacular" will mark the production's 10,000th performance. Be sure to comseoul to the Hyperion Theater to see if there will be any special goodies to mark this epic milestone!

Do you mean the 2:20 show? Aladdin shifts back to four shows per day the day after labor day so there are no shows at 3:20 anymore.

The show still works well without the carpet but it would certainly be nice to have it back again. When it first drops down it's an especially nice moment for the people who haven't seen the show before.

From what a few little birdies have told me at different times, the Flying Carpet rig is fully functional and safe, but the Show people won't put it back in use. It has to be either an "Aladdin and Jasmine don't want to get on it" or "the lawyers won't let us run it" thing.

I can see reprogramming it to make it pitch a little slower so it can't roll over, but stuff happens and Jas and Al know it - that's why they are strapped in nine ways from Sunday. And probably getting a stunt bonus.

10,000 is a nice milestone, and it's a good little show - but frankly they should start looking for another show idea. They are NOT going to break the streak of Golden Horseshoe Revue.

I love the show but the flying carpet was a special part of it.

Something new would be nice too but Aladdin draws a big crowd still so it probably won't happen anytime soon.

I do really like this show! Great musical! but after 10,000 shows I think its time to move on to something else. Same for Fantasmic. I love that show as well...but 20 years? too long!

Aladdin, will be here for the next 3-4 years at least. As far as a replacement, that is still undecided. They kind of threw their hands up in the air when they shelved Toy Story. (Kinda glad they did). It would not have reached the status that Aladdin made it to in the least.
