On Saturday Sept 8th, the 2:20pm showing of "Aladdin, A Musical Spectacular" will mark the production's 10,000th performance. Be sure to come out to the Hyperion Theater to cheer on the multi-talented cast and crew of this enchanting musical spectacular!

Yeah, it's a shame they're still performing with no carpet. Really makes the show look sloppy.
That would be amazing if they fix the carpet.
Without the flying carpet, the show should be retired and bring in something new. Sorry, a great show took two steps back without it. I think the carpet accident happened a year ago this month.

Still one of my favorite shows...I know as a kid I did like the shows at the Fantasyland Theater....but this show just blew all of those out of the water

What takes so long for a major company to fix that carpet scene? Anyway, it's a great show, but I think something new would be good as well.

UGH...that's 10,000 shows WAY TOO LONG! Can they just get rid of this tired old show and bring in something new, creative and fresh??? And its only become more of a joke since it's been forever since the magic carpet has flown. The new character stage show coming in summer 2013 to the Fantasyland Theatre will be such a welcome relief.
Sorry, but I do not share in the festivities of this occasion of "Aladdin".
Obviously the only good part of the show was having the carpet fly. Forget the other 42 minutes.
The Genie is always the highlight of the show, and they still have the giant cobra and elephant puppets. That's pretty cool and pretty magical still. Whether the carpet is there or not, it's still a good show. Hopefully it's eventual replacement is worthy, if not completely better. It'd be horrible for the theater to sit abandoned for years on end.
The Golden Horseshoe Revue ran for a whopping 39,000 performances. It'd be interesting to see if Aladdin will run that long. :P
Broadway/Touring Shows that I've Seen: Peter Pan, The Lion King, Wicked (twice), Avenue Q, Young Frankenstein, Les Miserables, Shrek the Musical, The Producers, The Book of Mormon (twice), Matilda, Once, and Kinky Boots.
lol, I still enjoyed the show even without that one element
Supposedly the Carpet is going to return to the show around November.

so happy for cast and crew, they should surprise everyone with and carpet being fixed but it probably wont so its whatever.
