Anyone doing the CHOC walk this year?

CHOC Walk in the Park 2012 - Home

It's a walk through both parks to raise money for the Children's Hospital of Orange County. October 14th, 7am.

I don't know if I am going to do it this year but it's surely a great cause and looks like a lot of fun.

Do you need to buy admission to the parks for this?

You don't need a park ticket to do the walk itself, and you get free parking @ Mickey and Friends. To do the walk, you just need to fundraise or donate a minimum of $50. You get a wristband and AFAIK you get into the parks before they open for the day.

If you want to spend the day in the park after the race, yes, you do need a ticket, as far as I know...but CHOC Walk offers some sort of $45 discounted ticket if you're walking.

I might try it again. Wondering if I have enough energy to get up at 3 AM again in order to make it down there in time. I had a GREAT time last year, and it's for a wonderful cause!

My niece spent a lot of time at CHOC when she was little. I'll do what I can to be there.

I must be honest, I'd never heard of CHOC before this, but it is a great cause and a great excuse to go to DL for the weekend!
