I used to browse Laughing Place and I was a member on... I think Mouse Info., if not Mouse Planet. But my interest in those sites died years ago since MC provides the Disney info I need and care to read. I don't need to visit multiple sources. I love Disney but I'm not pathetically obsessed.
This board has about the right balance of "civil" and "free speech".

This... its because of those lighter threads/sections/forums that I have made actual friends from this site. Probably about 90% of my friends on FaceBook are from here. There are people I met on this site that I share motels with when I'm in the park, that I hang out with if I'm there, that I exchange Christmas cards and birthday cards etc with. I'm not kidding when I say that MiceChat has truly made changes and had an impact on my life.
And I love and miss all the trip reports we use to have... I don't get to the park that often... the trip reports give me a chance to at least see the park and experience it through someone elses eyes.
And thats why I stay here.

This is the first Disney message board I've joined. I'm still relatively new, but I like being here and discussing and learning new things about the history of the company and the parks. I don't really have time for other message boards, so I don't see myself joining any others in the near future.

I'm not sure if Loyalty is the correct word.... It's more about how much time one has.
I'm the #5 member of Laughing Place and hang out here on Mice Chat, but I do check out a lot of other sites even if I'm not active on their boards.
I like this board for news, rumor, and park discussion. I like disboards for trip-planning conversation.
