    Turret Syndrome / Castle update

Another tiny update on Disneyland’s Little Lost Turret, which continues to become more visible. I still cannot quite tell how this old and long unseen section of Sleeping Beauty’s castle will work into the new princess faire, but it has now got sun falling on it for the first time in decades. The foliage in the area has receded enough to show it off, along with some crenellations along the wall.

I also just discovered that you can very easily see LLT in all its glory already!
A model of the castle in the Main Street Opera House shows the area complete with the long unseen turret included (unlike apparently all other depictions, including the large whole park model/map on the nearby wall). You can see it in bright blue, far to the side of the door to the toy store and pathways.

Looking forward to this old part of the park becoming new again.

ORDDU: I believe I had mentioned--before--that this little tower has sentimental value for me, personally, since I used to spend time there with Prince Phillip before he and Princess Aurora finally tied the knot...

Is it just me, or does it appear that they did not paint this turret when the castle was repainted a pink color several years ago? It looks grey to me, so it seems that it's the original color of the castle back when it was grey. I'm not sure, maybe it is pink, but I can't tell from the picture.

It's either original paint scheme or the paint has completely faded away.

From what I remember it's the original colors. I wish they would spread that thought to the rest of the castle, but that will never happen. At least we can see it again!

Definitely. I noticed that right away about the little lost turret, it was so long forgotten that its was not even painted. You can see that very clearly in the last photo from my original posting:

The roof tiles on top are still not glossy/pearly.....yet. Personally, I always preferred the more natural realistic look.
