But would you want a constantly messed up eel in the show?? removing something that hasn't quite worked right since it's debut is more of a good than a bad. Just letting it go and having the things sink like the Titanic during shows isn't worth the time or money. It's best that they allocate those expenses to further improve the rest of the show.
From what I've heard the original poster is incorrect. The eels are still being looked at to be reworked and hopefully coming back to the show, but not the jet ski versions.

Who knows if 5 years from now we'll get new fountain upgrades, additional princess barge or an updated Flotsam & Jetsam.
