I love this thread, thank you for keeping it alive. What's hard to imagine is the future of Disney fans will one day post the pictures from today long after we are all gone. Wow makes me appreciate all we have today.

Ah, what a great time that must of been!
Unless there are specific details that I'm not recognizing, that model monorail actually was in service into the 70s, and early 80s. However the clothing styles would put it into the early 60s, I think.

The Mark I was a 3 car train, and had the same body style as the train in the photo. After 1961 the Mark II, which was a 4 car train, and a slighty different body style was put into use.

It's not impossible that the Mark I wasn't used after 1961, but by the look of this photo and the clothing of the people in it I would be willing to bet that it's set somewhere between 59 and 61.

The number of cars and the larger bubble top indicate a MK II or MK III monorail which would be post 1961.

A really nice view of Skull Rock Cove (and is that Annette dressed as Peter Pan?):

Seating behind the Tuna Boat/to the side of Skull Rock. Sit down and enjoy your hot tuna pie and pirate's grog!

The Mark I was a 3 car train, and had the bubble dome as well. The Mark II had a larger bubble dome and was a 4 car train.

Yes, which is why I said that. There are obviously more than three cars on the monorail in the picture and the dome is larger than the original MK I.

Looks like a 3 car train to me, but maybe I'm wrong.

I would totally eat a hot tuna pie and some pirates grog. Bring back the Tuna Boat and Skull Rock!!
Peter Pan: "You know, your hair is on fire."
Me: "Yes. It happened after a recent trip to Neverland."
Peter Pan: "Well, you can dunk your head in the pond behind us, if you want."

Three windows per section. If it were a MK I you would see only nine windows. The tree is blocking at least four of the twelve.
